What to Expect During Your Spokane Headshot Session

You walk in, and it’s just you and Mike.

You’re never rushed. I leave at least 45 minutes between appointments, so if we need to go long, we can.

We’ll talk for a few minutes first—about your work, your goals, and what these headshots need to do.

Then we shoot and review together. I’ll guide your posing and expressions while we watch the shots come up on a large monitor and make any necessary adjustments.

What To Expect From Your Spokane Headshot Session

  • Your package determines outfits and backdrops. Lighter backdrop? Wear darker tones.
  • Dress the way your clients expect to see you. A blazer and a fitted tee are both the right answer for the right person.
  • Don’t overthink it. You’ll see everything on a large monitor during the session. If something isn’t working, we catch it together.
  • Come as you are. Hair, makeup, the way you normally wear it. This should look like you on a Tuesday, not you at a wedding.
  • Skip the salt the night before and get a good night’s sleep. The camera picks up both.
  • Wear your glasses if you wear them. We handle the glare.
  • Every shot appears on a large monitor in real time — no guessing, no surprises.
  • You don’t need to know how to pose. I direct everything — expression, angles, all of it. You just show up.
  • Most people relax within the first five minutes once they realize they don’t have to figure anything out.
  • Sessions run 20–60 minutes, depending on the package.
  • Even in our shortest session, you’ll have plenty of images to choose from.
  • Retouched, high-resolution digital files delivered the next business day.

Our studio is at 119 W Elcliff Ave in north Spokane, just off Division. About 20 minutes from downtown Spokane, with easy access from Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, and the surrounding area.

We’re in a residential neighborhood — quiet, private, and there’s no lobby full of strangers watching you get your photo taken.

There’s a dedicated parking spot for clients right at the studio entrance. Pull in, walk in, that’s it.

You’ll receive an email with directions the day before your session so you know exactly where you’re going.

  • Things come up. If you need to reschedule, just call or text us at (509) 217-6453, and we’ll find a new time that works.
  • We ask for as much notice as you can give, but we get it — sometimes life doesn’t cooperate. We’ll work with you.
 

Choosing Your Images

  • Most clients pick their favorite shot right in the studio — you’ve been watching the monitor the whole time, so you usually already know.
  • If you’d rather take your time, we’ll create a private online gallery you can review from home. Browse on your own, share with a colleague or spouse if you want a second opinion, and submit your selections when you’re ready.
  • No rush, no pressure. If you’re not happy, we reshoot at no charge. It’s your headshot — you should love it, not settle for it.
